Time for a quicky!!! I mean quiche!!!
Bring something to share … WTF bring something to share that’s easy to eat? what do I do what do I do?
This is our favourite dish to bring that the kids LOVE. I really shouldn’t be sharing this but what the hell it’ll be a challenge to come up with more exciting dishes in the future.
I also cheat on this dish and I buy some dough that’s pre-made / pre-rolled if you’re got time you do your thing 🙂
For this dish I use once again …. frozen spinach. Got fresh? want to use it? go for it. Take your dough out of the fridge and let it warm up a bit.
- 10 cubes of frozen spinach
- 4 eggs
- 1 pre-made dough
- BACON!!!
- cream
Get your spinach on (to defrost) I find a splash of water and throwing the lid on helps a lot.
The spinach will take around 10 minutes to thaw. Throw the oven onto 180C.
Chop your bacon.
Throw it on the pan and cook.
Unroll your dough!
Lay your dough into your baking tray when it has warmed up a bit.
Place your defrosted spinach into the tray. Unfortunately I was in a rush so there’s excess liquid in this. I generally like to boil it off if possible. You’ll notice the difference when it’s cooked.
Spread out your spinach.
In the mean time beat 4 eggs ( depending on the size of your tray ) and add a splash of cream. Beat them! don’t just take photos of them for blog posts 🙂
Add the eggs to the “pie” and sprinkle on your bacon.
Throw it into the oven for 15 – 20 minutes at 180C. I like to set a timer on my mobile so I remember to check it out.
